Privacy policy
Last updated: July 2026
This privacy policy applies to Ordo Block, an Android app published by Retro Labs Design. Ordo Block helps you reduce impulsive food-delivery ordering by showing a brief pause screen when you open the delivery apps you have chosen. This policy explains what data Ordo Block handles, how it is used, and your rights.
Our core privacy principle
Ordo Block is built to stay on your device. It does not require an account or sign-in, does not collect personal information, and does not transmit your data to us or to any server. Everything Ordo Block records is stored locally on your phone and never leaves it.
Accessibility Service
Ordo Block uses Android's Accessibility Service for one specific purpose: to detect when you open an app that you have chosen for Ordo Block to watch (such as a food-delivery app), so it can display its pause screen.
To be completely clear about what this does and does not do:
- Ordo Block only checks which app has come to the foreground (the app's package name). That is the only information it reads from the Accessibility Service.
- Ordo Block does not read the content of any screen, does not read text you type, does not read messages, passwords, or any other on-screen information, and does not record your activity within any app.
- The detection happens entirely on your device. No information about which apps you open is ever sent anywhere.
You can turn the Accessibility Service off at any time in your device's Settings, and you can uninstall Ordo Block to remove it completely.
Data Ordo Block stores on your device
To do its job, Ordo Block saves the following information locally on your phone only:
- The apps you choose for Ordo Block to watch
- The pause/delay settings you choose for each app
- Your responses within the app, such as when you choose to wait or to continue
- A history of your skips and orders, used to show your progress inside the app
- Any baseline figure you enter during setup
This information is stored only on your device, is used only to make the app work and to show you your own progress, and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. Uninstalling Ordo Block removes all of this data from your device.
Permissions Ordo Block uses
- Accessibility Service – to detect when you open an app you have chosen to watch, as described above.
- Display over other apps – to show the pause screen on top of the app you have opened.
- Run a foreground service – to keep the pause feature working reliably while you use your phone. Android requires a small ongoing notification for this; it does not collect any data.
- Query installed apps – to show you a list of the apps on your phone so you can choose which ones Ordo Block should watch. This list is read on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
- Post notifications – to show the foreground-service notification and, in future versions, optional check-in reminders.
Ordo Block requests no other permissions.
Advertising
Ordo Block does not contain advertisements and does not use any advertising or ad-tracking services.
Analytics
Ordo Block does not use any third-party analytics services. We do not track your usage of the app.
Subscription and payments
Ordo Block is offered as a paid subscription: a 3-day free trial, then $29.99 per year, or $9.99 per month. Payment is processed by Google Play Billing and your subscription is managed through your Google Play account. Retro Labs Design never sees or stores your payment details.
Third parties
Ordo Block does not share any data with any third parties. The app does not send your information to any external service.
Children
Ordo Block is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from them. Because Ordo Block does not collect personal data from anyone, there is no personal information of children to collect.
Your rights
Because Ordo Block does not collect or transmit any personal data, there is nothing held by us to access, modify, or delete. All information Ordo Block stores lives on your device. Uninstalling the app permanently removes that information from your phone.
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes – for example, if a future version of Ordo Block adds features that handle data differently – the new version will appear here, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the change.
